Not Treated Right

When I was a young dog my dad always told me that someday we would find a good home where we would be treated correctly. I always loved it when he said that and would always dream about green grass and some trees that grew steak on them. My dad and me lived in an old house with some people that didn’t treat us right. They would always hit us and they would barely ever feed us. Our owner always told me that I was a dumb mutt but my dad would always tell me that I wasn’t dumb and that would cheer me up. One day when I was digging threw the trash for some food our owner came in and saw me so he hit me really hard on the nose. When my dad saw that he bit our owner and the owner ran off. I thought that he was gone for good. Then Out of the corner of my eye I saw him and he was carrying something, and that something was a gun. All of a sudden I here a bang and I see my dad fall to the ground he was dead.

Being I was so scared me I quickly ran trying to find a way out. I found a hole and I tried to get threw it but I was stuck. So I wiggled and wiggled and I finally got threw just in time because when I looked back I saw my owner looking at me threw the hole. I ran all the way to the nearest woods. I quickly looked back to make sure that he wasn’t following me with that gun of his, and thankfully he wasn’t. As I lay down by the tree chewing on a bone I found I saw a little girl. I quickly stood up and started to run but I stopped. I looked back to see if she saw me, but she didn’t because she was to busy sitting there crying. I kind of felt sorry for the little thing so instead of running away I walked slowly towards her. When I got closer to her I could hear her taking to herself saying, “Oh mommy why did you leave all alone in this dark wilderness, I really miss you”. Then I went up to her to try and cheer her and tell her that she was not alone in this world. We became close friends threw our time and we still are. I had finally found my happy home.
