Shnaku

There is a small world, almost the size of Russia.  It’s separate from our universe, but there are species similar to those on Earth.  A human like species is spread around the world of Shnaku, they are almost identical to us.  Same ears, similar eyes, similar shape, two arms and two legs; they even speak the same languages.  But the differences; flat noses, faster growing hair, taller, stronger build, rounder feet; but they’re all gray, gray eyes, gray skin gray hair.  They are similar to an amplified version of us.  They are called Levors.

Many also have companions; the most popular are wolf like creatures named dooretts. Some use them for protection, but many collect and train them to fight.  A few Levors have learned to catch other species using an invention similar to a magic box, where you can catch weakened animals.  These Levors call themselves Lures.

On this small planet made mostly of ice, there is a population of nearly 1 million Levors.  Most of the planet is inhabitable for Levors, but those areas are where the most interesting creatures are.

There was a young Levor, the age of ten years, who just got his explorers license and is now able to adopt a doorett.  His name was Nate.  He went to his town’s Shnaku Center where he was able to get his license and doorett.  He left that day, with a small bag filled with materials.

He travelled north, looking for the forests.  The forest north of his town is called Verinean Forest.  It is filled with many large bugs and birds.  He travelled through here expecting to follow the path until he found an animal he could battle against using his doorett.  He soon came across a dead traveler, killed by wild dooretts.  Nate found a small box that could fit in his jeans pocket.  Nate was always fascinated with Lures and always wanted to be one when he grew to be ten.  Now, with his luck, he found the tools essential for becoming a Lure.

His adventure soon became an exploration west to the Dead Land.  This is a place where it is near impossible to survive without correct training.  Luckily, Nate’s father had prepared him his whole life for this journey.  It was always his dad’s dream to travel west and capture a breeveon, a creature similar to a polar bear but only grows to be six feet tall.  Despite his dream, Nate’s father was married and became a father.  Nate now looks for the city of Whereabouts to find guidance from his uncle, the arena leader in Whereabouts.

Soon, Nate finds a gatoratog, an animal similar to an alligator but the size of a large dog.  It is a young gatoratog, so Nate sends his doorett after it and yells a command.  Nate’s doorett tackled the gatoratog and held it down for Nate to capture it in his box.  Nate successfully captures it and heads towards the snow he spots in the distance, the first sign he is near Whereabouts.

Nate stops at the arena and asks his uncle for some advice on finding a breeveon.  Nate’s uncle advises him to stay along the south river and find Forbidden Forest.  Nate’s uncle allows Nate to stay the night and wakes him early in the morning.  Nate stops at the Whereabouts bike store and buys a bike to make his journey faster and safer.

Nate takes off south until he finds the river, then heads west to find Forbidden Forest.  Nate soon realizes a crucial mistake he made.  He only has to trainers as protection and is headed for a forest filled with dangerous creatures.  He begins a search for a ponyetta, a small horse with a fiery mane.

Nate finds a few unwanted creatures and is ambushed by wild dooretts.  He opens the box and releases his gatoratog and fights the three wild dooretts.  His gatoratog his strong against dooretts, and it is able to knock out two of the dooretts.  Two men run to their aid and Nate realizes three men ambushed him.  The third doorett runs away with the two men before Nate could see their faces.  Nate would’ve been able to report them to the guards of Whereabouts, but he decides to continue his search.

Nate, searching vigorously, finds a breeveon instead of a ponyetta.  Nate was unsure whether he was ready to take on such a challenge.  Nate decided to go for it and released his gatoratog and commanded him to bite the large creature’s tail.  The breeveon whirled and slashed his claws through the gatoratog’s rough scales.  It rolled and wailed in pain.  Nate retreated it to his box and commanded his doorett to attack quickly.  The breeveon charged in anger and ignored the doorett, so he bit his leg and scratched the breeveon’s back before it could reach Nate.

Nate fumbled his box in excitement and captured the breeveon.  He quietly celebrated, trying not to attract any other dangerous creatures.  He hopped on his bike and rode home as fast as he could so he could brag about his new achievement to his proud father.
