Fractured Thumb
When I got home from school I played kickball with my moms daycare kids. So when we were playing kickball i was having a good time. Then i went to get a kid out and thought i was able to throw the ball around a steel post so i threw the ball around the poll and the ball was in the air and my thumb went straight on to the steel post without even bending it. I still got the kid out from going home. Then after that they left because there parents were there to get them and then i went in the house and told my mom she looked at it i said does it look big to you she said’ yes. So we went in to Decorah to get it looked at they took me in so i thought they were going to cut my thumb off so they said you are going to get an X-ray so we got done with that so the doctor said it is fractured and a fracture they have never seen before in a thumb. They gave my a brace then when they gave my that i thought my life was over and i was never going to be able to do anything again. So they made me put the brace on and they tightened it to make it fit my arm. After that we got something to eat and drove home and got in the shower so after that i went to bed. The next day i went to school and all my friends asked me what happened so i told them what happened. I went to my wrestling coach after school and told him what happened after i told him i went to go and get dressed for practice but i could not do anything.
So after a week with the brace on i had to go and get an X-ray and they had to approve it they said that i had to get a cast on my hand. They told me all the things that i can not do so i listened to them. They said i had to wear it for 3 weeks and i was like really that long they said it may stink i was like ya it will stink. Then my mom went to go get a thing for my arm to protect it from not getting wet. Then i was really made that this happened but i was having a good time when it happened so i can’t really blame myself for it when it happened. So one week was over and i was like two weeks left yay but i am glad i don’t have to wear it for six weeks that would be really bad. So went to school for the rest of the week and it was really hard to write with the cast on my hand. Two weeks were over and it was smelling very bad and i hated it very much. My three weeks were all most done i was really happy so i went to school the next week and the week was over and i had it taken off on Monday so then Monday came i got it taken off and it felt very weird when i got it off. So it felt really good to get it off and i was really happy to get it off then i smelt my hand and i did not really like that smell.
