            Last summer

Last summer I went canoeing everyday for a week with my two friends ML and TV. It was very fun and exciting, we went about eight miles every time. The worst part about the canoeing was that you would always get really bad sunburn. Once when we were about two miles down the river we flipped the canoe on “accident”. It was a mess, we had to pull it on shore and drain out all of the water. Then we had to search for everything that fell out of the canoe.

Another time when I was with ML and my other friend JN we were on ML’s pond and we were on a paddleboat. When we got to the other dock on the end of the pond we jumped off of it into the water. It was slippery from being wet and I fell onto the paddleboat from 5 feet in the air. It hurt really badly but it was pretty funny.

Last summer TV and me were singed up for a triathlon. We started to exercise more at the beginning of summer. At the triathlon you have to swim 200 yards, bike 8 miles and run a mile with no breaks. It is horrible and a lot of people started to puke. The worst part is the biking because it is uphill and your legs want to give out. If you have never been in a triathlon you cannot say it is easy, you have to finish it to really know how hard it is. TV and I ended up getting 3d place as a team out of 350 + people so we were pretty proud.

I had a really fun summer, especially when I got to see my sister DS in Florida. My family got me a direct flight so I could fly alone because they had to work. When I got to Florida we just rested a day until we went to Epcot and Sea world. I really liked Epcot better because it gives you a feel to what different countries are like and what types of foods they eat. Sea world was pretty cool to. It was exciting to see all of the wild life that you would never see here in Iowa.

I got to see my sister’s boyfriends little brother again, AH. He is my age and he likes skateboarding and BMX like me. He knows much more about skateboarding then me though, he can kick-flip really good. Skateboarding can be very dangerous but if you get good at its fun. My neighbor KC likes to skate board to. He’s only in 1st grade and he is very good.

I like how you described how hard the triathlon was and that would be awesome to get 3rd out of 350 + people.

when you flipped the canoe it sounded like a lot of work and you did good on telling about it.

I like how you said that even though there was at least 350 people at the triathlon, you still got 3rd place.

I like how you guys flipped the canoe on "accident" . You did a good job giving a lot of detail of what happened.

I liked the part where you and your friend "accidentally" flipped over the canoe and then you had to go and search for all of your stuff.

I like how you said you "accidentally" flipped the canoe over, it must have been a lot of work getting it to shore and finding everything that fell out, also I like how you described how many people there was on your team.

I liked it, because it had some funny parts and had good details over the things that happened.
