The day I was grounded

It was a Friday and Whitney and I were trying to find something to do so we were texting people asking what was going on that weekend.  One of the people that we texted text back and said that there was a party in Elkader.  So we talked about going and we asked our parents if we could go, they all said yes so we set a time and a place to meet because I was going to drive, Whitney’s a bad driver I don’t feel safe when I ride with her.  Not really but I drove and we met in Clermont and we took off we called the guy that had told us that there was a movie and we asked him how to get there because his house was way out in the sticks.  He told us what we needed to know so we took off and on the way we stopped to see a lot of people that we know and say hi before we go there.  We get there and the have the bomb fire going and its really cold out and of cores we didn’t think about bringing coats so we freezing our butts off and there are trucks everywhere so we pick one and sat on the tail gate and talk to a bunch of people that we new like Lyle, Adam, and Dave.  The Whitney and I sat and talked to them for most of the night.   It was about midnight and we were supposed to be home at eleven and we said ta heck with it lets just stay awhile longer, so we did and at about one in the morning I looked over at Whitney who had drank ALL of my mountain dew and told her that it was time to go home, she looked at me and told me 5 more minutes.  So I gave in and we stayed 5 more minutes and when that was up I told her it was time to go and we got up and told everyone that we would see them later.  So we headed out and I took Whitney home and at that time it was about two o’clock so I was going to go home but I got a phone call and was told to come watch movies with some other friends, so I tried to call mom and see if I could go but she didn’t answer so I decided that I was going weather she wanted me to or not.  I went to the place where they all were and we sat and watched movies till four in the morning.  Then I decided that it was a good idea if I went home.  I tell all them that I would talk to them later and take off.  When I get home mom is awake and she is standing in the doorway she looks at me and told me to giver her my phone and right away I new I was busted so I gave it to her and took the butt chewin like I new I should because it was 4 in the morning.  When she was finished telling me that it was not a good idea to be staying out that late she told me to go to bed but I looked at her and was like I gotta go to work it was 5:30 and I really had to go to work.  When I got home from work she told me that I could just as well get comfortable at home because that’s where I was going to be for a long time.
