Valley junior high band students excel in solo recital

On Tuesday, Mar. 17, 2009 the Valley junior high band students performed at their annual solo recital. Band director Susan Brackett states, “This was the best JH solo recital we’ve had at Valley!”

Ratings start at S+ which is highly superior. Students receiving this rating were: Mitchell C, Cayley H, Leah R, Emily B, and Alison M. Having five students achieve this rating is very unusual. Usually only one receives a highly superior rating.

Students receiving an S, which is superior, are: Shauna K, Chris T, Collin B, Logan D, Dakota M, Cody T, Colby S, Katy A, Carly M, Jenna H, Kalleigh F, Dawn T, Brady G, Geordon H, Zach R, Shelby L, and Kjerstin M.

Those receiving an E, which is excellent, are: Katlyn G, Steven W, Tomi T, Sam K, Noah L, Belle H, Dough S, and Nick W.

No students received a G, which is good. This is a sign that everyone was well prepared. Congratulations to these outstanding students on a spectacular recital.
