Valley upgrades concession stand
By Kyle L
Valley Booster Club volunteers worked together this year to build a new concession stand in front of the school. Those who attended the first football game probably noticed the difference right away. Leaning, rotting, and an overall eyesore, the old building just had to go. Congestion, impractical arrangement, and poor placement are several things that volunteers will not miss about the old stand, not to mention all the extra space for fans that will be available once it is gone.
The new building provides much needed extra space to store all of the goods without having piles upon piles of “stuff” everywhere. The location also provides a better outlook for volunteers to catch glimpses of the game while working, whereas with the old location, loitering fans and an overall bad placement prevented them from seeing the game.
As the season progresses and refreshments are in high demand, the concession stand will be greatly appreciated. A special thanks goes out to all who graciously volunteered their time to help out with this much-needed project. As of now, the old eyesore still stands, but plans for taking it down or moving it are in the works.
