Teacher Feature

By Chelsi B

Mrs. Jeannie Krambeer was born on Aug. 23, 1974 in Postville, Iowa and has two brothers, Dan and Brad.  She attended MFL High School where she participated in swing choir, volleyball, softball, cheerleading, drama, and National Honor Society.  She then attended Central College in Pella. After teaching two years in western Iowa, Jeannie accepted a job at Valley to get back to her family and the hills of northeast Iowa.  She has now been teaching at Valley for twelve years.  Jeannie, her husband Matt, her daughter Keely, their dog Rookie, and several pet fish currently reside in Wadena.  In her free time, Jeannie enjoys reading, singing, and running her craft business, Strictly Whimsy.  She enjoys all types of music, especially country.  Mrs. Krambeer currently teaches eighth grade English, eighth grade reading, composition, and multimedia composition.  She enjoys teaching these areas because she loves the power of books and reading.

Mrs. Brittany Ann (Buddenberg) Heins was born on March 15, 1983 in Postville, Iowa.  She has two siblings, Bridget and Blake.  Brittany attended South Winneshiek High School where she participated in band, choir, volleyball, basketball, track, National Honor Society, and 4-H.  She then attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls and is currently taking classes at Upper Iowa University in Fayette.  Mrs. Heins is in her fourth year of teaching, this being her first year at Valley.  She currently teaches special education, specializing in reading, math, life skills, and vocational skills.  Brittany and her husband Justin have a three year old son named Decklyn, as well as pet fish.  In her free time, Brittany enjoys crafting, making jewelry, and working on her house.  She listens to pop and country style music.  Mrs. Heins enjoys the small school atmosphere that is offered at Valley, and likes the challenge of working with a wide range of ages.
