Plazmapalooza Begins

The Valley Booster Club is spicing things up this year with an exciting new contest! In order to raise money for Valley athletics, the Booster Club has decided to hold a Plasmapalooza! 

But what is Plazmapalooza? The contest is based on points scored during Fall sports (football, volleyball, and cross country). The challenge? For all, you lovers of math out there, try to add up all the points scored by the football team in 9 games, the volleyball team in 11 matches, and the cross country runners in 7 meets. Then, when the seasons results are all tallied, a winner will be announced.

To register, write your name and the number you wish to guess the Booster Club table at home volleyball matches and football games up until the start of the game on Oct. 23, or contact Cindy Torkelson, Curt Strong or Brian Smith. The fee is $5.00 per number, and you can enter as many numbers as you wish as long as no one else has already guessed that number. The final sporting event for the fall will be the football game on Oct. 23, against Wapsie Valley. Once that game is done all the scores from the games, matches, and meets will be calculated and one winner will be determined. If no one purchases the winning number, the person with the closest number that has not over guessed will be declared the winner of a 32’’ Plasma TV!
