Parents can access grades.

By: Kenzie N

Parents and guardians of Valley Junior High and High School students out there, wouldn’t it be nice to know your child’s grades and attendance records any time you wanted? You no longer have to wait until parent/teacher conferences to get a report on how your child is performing in his or her classes. Thanks to the new parent/guardian

internet access, coming soon to the Valley Community School website, parents can access grades and attendance records right on their own computers.

Valley Community School District will soon be providing parent/guardian internet access to attendance and progress report records for students in Valley Junior High and High School. The online communication system is highly confidential and can only be accessed by a registered parent/guardian and qualified administration at the school. The internet access program also has capabilities beyond viewing grades and attendance, however, these bonuses aren’t in use in the system yet, but may be implemented in the near future.

This system will help parents be in the know of their student’s progress at Valley. It is important for parents to understand what their kids are doing at school, and if they are having any problems regarding their behavior or grades in the classroom. If you are a parent or guardian of a Valley student in grades 7-12 and wish to access your child’s attendance or grades through the Valley webpage, you will need a password. Visit the Valley website and there will be link to the “Parent Access” internet page.  A second link at the bottom of that page will download the form. Fill out the form completely and return it to the Junior High/High School office. You will then be given confidential access to your child’s records. If you are having problems accessing the form online someone will also be available to help at parent/teacher conferences on November third and November fifth.
