When there’s ending there’s a New Beginning

One day my sisters dog Tuby was playing and he ran off into the woods. He didn’t comeback, so we went and searched the woods. Then we took the four-wheeler and our ranger out to search around the entire farm. We still couldn’t find him anywhere. He was always the good one to comeback or go and get Miley from the creek or the woods. It had been about 2 days or so and we still could not find him. That night we thought we had seen him. So we called my sister up and told her. We went to where we seen him by the cornfield and there he was. When we went to go get him we seen that the collar was not the same neither was the tags on his collar were the same. Turns out that down the road this family had a dog just like she did. He was big, muscular, and black lab. When we figured out that it was their neighbors dog we returned it to their home and went searching again. We were not going to give up until we found him. It had been at least three days since Tuby went missing. One day Shelsey was home with the dogs, playing outside with a chew toy. She threw it and it land by the barn next to the manure pit. Miley kept going back forth to Shelsey and the manure pit. Miley wouldn’t bring the chew toy back either. Shelsey finally gave up on telling Miley to bring the toy back. She walked down there and she seen that there was no fence around the manure pit, so anything could jump in. She seen something floating in there and then she stepped closer to take a better look. When she has seen what it was she burst into tears and ran up to the house. When she got to the house she called her husband Matt to tell him that she had found Tuby in the manure pit dead. Matt came home as fast as he could. When he got there the got a rope and went down to the manure pit to try and pull Tuby out. They went as fast as they could to see if he was alive or help him stay alive. When they finally got Tuby out of the manure pit it was to late he was dead. So when they got him out and found that he was dead Shelsey called us and told us. We went over to her house to see if she was okay. That night we made dough that we put into a box. Then we took it outside and made a paw print in remembrance of him. That night we went to burry him in the pasture of our land. We went to the top of the hill where this willow tree has been there forever. We dug the hole and set him in there. Then I made a little stone that said his name on it made out of wood.

It had been a little over a year when they added a new member to the family. Shelsey’s husband got her a chocolate lab from a good friend in Clermont.  They named it Charlie.

Charlie is a fun and loving puppy.  He is a big, brown, and muscular just like Tuby was. He runs around and plays with the other dogs. The other dogs’ names are Miley and Dolly. They all get along great playing and also getting hurt every once in a while. Everything has been going great, but there are those moments when we still remember Tuby. He was a great dog that always listens to what you said. When there is an ending there is a new beginning.

Great detail & description, about looking for Tuby, and how they found Tuby.

I liked how you didn't give up looking and how you made me wonder where they where going to find Tuby.

That was great you had great details are dog went missing one day and came back that night with a whole in her chest and we took her to the vet and they said she was shot by a bow. She is still alive though because she was a pitbull which is very strong.

I liked how it wasn't predicable and you had to keep thinking what was going to happen.
