The Earthquake of 1943

One hot summer day, a couple of boys were walking down the street with an ice cream in hand. The little & wide one was already finished with his a while back down the road. The other, quite skinny, was slowing down because he was full. He was just about to finish it when all of a sudden, the ground starts to shake, the road starts breaking into pieces, and houses start to fall down.

“Get under something quick!” one of the boys said. They then went under a tree, but what they didn’t realize is that the tree has been uprooted for years and this was its last day living. They got under it and as it started to fall, they were running for their life. Dust was everywhere, so they couldn’t see. All they would understand is when the short wide one fell with the tree on top of his leg. There was nothing they could do to get him out, so they had to wait it all out.

When it was finished, he couldn’t feel his leg anymore, which meant one thing, he lost it. They immediately went to go find their parents and went to get medical help, but nothing could have been done because it was too late and others were piling up by the second because of it. They had to return to their homes, which surprisingly were still in tact, and just wait to see what happened.

Well, he did end up losing his leg, but was able to get an artificial one, which turned out just fine. The two of them then went back to taking their normal walks with some ice cream, and everything was fixed in the neighborhood, looking quite like it was before. As for the earthquake, it turned out to be an 8.9 and killed 2,000 lives. All because it was during a workday and nobody had anywhere to go and ended up being trapped. Everything is ok now, but now people are shaving hair off apes and having them as babies?

HEADLINE

SHAVED APES SOLD AS BABIES

Yes, you heard me right. This horrible act has been happening all over Iowa. Shipped right from Africa right into your home. What has made people to do this? We asked one person how they felt.

“What kind of a person would be dumb enough to do this?” One neighbor said.

It seems to appear nobody is in favor of this and needs to be stopped immediately. But how do we stop them? Who stops them? If we stop them, what would be the consequence? Why am I asking YOU all these questions? Iowa needs to be stopped. What could be next? We get hair glued to us and sent back as apes?? HUH?!?!?!?!?!?!

As you can see, this is not my topic to go by. We have given you a number of (###-***-$$$$). If you or your loved one have seen this happen to a poor innocent ape, call the number and it is again (###-***-$$$$). I am Billy Jr. reporting for channel 16. I now have to go feed my ape.

I loved the ending! Shaved apes as babies? That's something you don't see every day!!

I liked your story, but I was confused about why and how the topic changed from an earthquake to glueing hair on babies. Did the earthquake make the people go crazy? Otherwise, good job

I like how random the ending was and how it was so informal compared to the first part. I was confused at first but good job!

I liked both of your stories. The first one, the earthquake just happened, and the second won people started taking apes and shaving their hair.
